Controls

Nrisca uses one movement control and one action button, like the handheld consoles that inspired it.

Move

The knight moves in four directions. You can use a round stick or a D-pad. Switch between them in the pause menu under Controls. The knight keeps facing the way he last moved, and that is where the slash goes.

Slash

Press A to swing your weapon in a sweep in front of you. A slash hits every ghost in its arc and cuts arrows out of the air. The weapon sets the reach and the speed, see weapons.

Spin slash

Hold A to charge and release for a spin slash that hits all around you. You unlock it by beating the first boss. Some upgrades make the spin faster, wider or safer.

Walking into enemies

Ghosts and bosses block you like walls. Touching them does not hurt you. Only their attacks do.

Pause and settings

The pause button sits in the top bar. The pause menu has Controls, Display, Game, Account and Quit. On PC and in the browser, the key bindings are shown in the panel next to the screen.

Display options

Under Display you can set fullscreen (browser), the view, screen scale, frame rate, shake and flash. If the game runs slowly, lower the scale or set the frame rate to 30.
